We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant - Skilled Nursing Unit who will perform basic nursing care functions and other duties under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN). Perform duties to meet the personal care needs of residents, performs limited nursing techniques, observes and reports resident conditions, and services residents in a manner consistent with the Resident Bill of Rights.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform resident's plan of care according to the procedures taught in orientation and outlined in the policy and procedure manual

  • Follow written plan of care for residents

  • Provide personal care of residents, including cleanliness, toileting, dressing, personal comfort, mobility and safety

  • Follow established BNC procedures and policies

  • Provide restorative nursing to residents, such as assisting transfers, ROM, and ambulation

  • Perform nursing procedures within authorized duties

  • Follow instructions of supervising nurse

  • Maintain resident areas and rooms in clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary condition

  • Observe and report changes in resident's condition to nurse supervisor as soon as possible or before the end of shift

  • Document observations and care given in electronic medical record and on appropriate forms

  • Actively participate in department staff and educational meetings

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Coursework/Training: Currently participating in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training course

  • Must obtain a CNA certification within four (4) months of course completion

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting
