Providence Health & Services Program Coordinator Certified Nursing Assistant - Management and Staff Development in Mount Angel, Oregon
Providence is calling a Program Coordinator (CNA) (0.8 FTE, Days) to Benedictine Nursing Center in Mount Angel, OR.
We are seeking a Program Coordinator (CNA) that will provide leadership and coordinates the Nursing Assistant (NA) training for Providence Benedictine Nursing Center (PBNC). Responsibilities include: the implementation and maintenance of the NA program, ensuring compliance with OSBN program requirements, recruitment of students and instructors. Participates in the NA training program as needed/required.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Implement and maintain the NA program in compliance with all OSBN standards. Implements the OSBN approved curriculum. Develop and implement written policies necessary for the operation of the program. Submit program data and required reports upon request of the OSBN on OSBN forms
Act as a liaison with the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) related to the program's continuing compliance with required elements of NA program rules
Assist with recruiting, coaching and evaluates Primary and Clinical Instructors/ Preceptors. Provides or arranges for the orientation of the clinical instructor or clinical preceptor to their role and responsibilities
Review documentation to ensure that all students have initiated a criminal history check prior to entering the program and that all students are eligible pursuant to laws governing the clinical site
Coordinate classroom and clinical sites and activities. Supervises or coordinate supervision of students in the clinical setting or assign this responsibility to the primary instructor
Required qualifications for this position include:
Evidence of academic preparation for teaching adult learners OR equivalent education/experience
Minimum of Three (3) years of nursing experience that includes at least 1 year of working in direct patient care, and one of the following:
• One (1) year of experience in a nursing facility
• One (1) year of experience in staff development
Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license
In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position
