Providence Health & Services Home Health Aide in Salem, Oregon


Providence is calling a Home Health Aide (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Benedictine Nursing Center in Mount Angel, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide supportive personal care services and homemaking assistance to patients of all ages according to the individualized physical needs of the patient in accordance with state and federal regulatory requirements under the supervision of a registered nurse.

  • Perform all duties in a manner which supports team concept of caring and respect, which reflects the philosophy of Providence Home Services, Providence Mission.

  • Uphold the standard of confidentiality, attendance and punctuality.


Required qualification for this position include:

  • Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) License

  • Home Health Aide (HHA) certification within 2 weeks of hire

  • Agency will provide training and exam

  • Home Health Aide (HHA) training program must meet the state and federal requirements and/or competency exam (also meets state and federal requirements) that include observation of skills

  • The competency exam, required by federal requirements given/managed by the State Board of Nursing

  • The HHA will be subjected to passing at, least yearly, a skills observation checklist

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Driving record consistent with GOP Safe Driving Policy 330 Incident Point Matrix at time of hire

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Provider certification -or- within 60 days of hire

  • BLS renewal every 2 years

  • In compliance with the Providence Health & Services-OR Human Resources Policy #302 Background Checks, a criminal background check is required for this position based on assigned duties.
